  • Danny Viera

    Coach Danny has been actively involved in coaching athletes at various competitive levels, including Youth, Junior, High School, College (NCAA Divisions I, II, III), Elite Amateur, Professional, and Olympic Medalists, since he began his coaching journey in 2011. He holds multiple certifications, including USA Triathlon Level 2, Level 1, and specialized qualifications in Youth and Junior Elite coaching.

    He has had the remarkable opportunity to witness the USA secure its first-ever Olympic gold medal in triathlon during the 2016 Rio Olympics. Additionally, he has successfully coached two Olympic Silver Medalists at the US Olympic Training Center in preparation for the 2020/2021 Tokyo Olympics.

  • Sarah Breevoort

    Coach Sarah holds a BS in Biochemistry and a BS in Cell Biology from the University of Georgia, an MD and PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia, and completed her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and a fellowship in Neuromuscular Medicine at the University of Utah. She is one of the few neuromuscular specialists in the South Carolina.

    Sarah helped start UGA's Triathlon team and later became its President, leading over 100 athletes from the university and community. USAT invited her to be the first collegiate commissioner for the Southeast, where she helped draft bylaws and create a regional racing series. She was instrumental in hosting the USAT national college championship in Tuscaloosa, AL, in 2007 and 2008 and organized a training camp for collegiate athletes before the 2008 Olympic trials.

  • Kat Hansborough

    Coach Kat has a BBA in business management, works in digital marketing and as a certified personal trainer. Living in the Lowcountry since 2015, she’s especially a fan of the beach, gorgeous Spanish moss, and lack of snow. 

    She grew up in Indianapolis playing soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track, and completed her first triathlon at age 24. Since then she’s completed many sprint-, one Olympic-, three half-, and five full-distance triathlons including the 2024 Ironman Women’s World Championships in Nice, France.
